Longtime Toronto DJ and radio host DJ Chocolate described Tréson’s voice as “vocal honey”. On stage, his voice and demeanor unite as a spiritual energy that reaches out and touches everyone who is listening. On any given song, this gifted singer-songwriter can reveal the soul of Otis Redding, the pure pop energy of Michael Jackson, the lovers rock vibe of Dennis Brown, the gospel gravitas of Kirk Franklin and the reggae firebrand presence of Peter Tosh. His personal story is one of overcoming incredible odds, such as growing up in numerous foster homes, to achieve so many of his musical dreams.

As a solo artist, Tréson’s first single, "Moments", quickly became one of the most requested songs on radio programs in Toronto, charting on Flow 93.5 FM, CHRY (now VIBE 105), CIUT 89.5 FM, CKLN and the CBC and can currently be heard on regular rotation on FLOW 98.7 FM, Rootsreggaeradio.com with host DJ Chocolate.

2006 through 2010 was a particularly momentous period for Tréson, as he performed shows with a who’s who of Jamaican and global reggae icons such as Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Collie Buddz, Cherine Anderson, Sly and Robbie, Morgan Heritage, Third World, Baby Cham, Capleton, The Fab Five, Beeanie Man, Leroy Sibbles, Ken Boothe, and Bitty McLean.

In 2010 Tréson recorded in Jamaica at Tuff Gong Studio with Michael 'Kos' Dillon of Pha Real Entertainment, who introduced him to Computer Paul, best known as the producer of the hit song "At This Moment" originally sung by Billy Vera. This collaboration resulted in “Life on the Rocks”, featuring Grammy Award Winner Mykal Rose (of Black Uhuru) which was distributed across Europe and made its radio debut with UK reggae legend Sir David Rodigan on KISS FM. Other Kos Dillon-produced singles included “Lola” and “Oh Mama” which were released in the UK and Europe to commercial radio stations. Most recently, Tréson recorded "Stronger," with renowned Toronto producer Joseph "Ifield" Osborne, as part of the "Keele Street Riddim” project and his latest single “Life” produced by Kos Dillon was released globally Jan 2024.

Tréson and The Human Rights Band

Since 2014, Tréson has gained prominence as one half of the most potent one-two vocal punch in Canadian reggae, singing alongside Friendlyness (Big Sugar, Culture Shock, Truth & Rights) in the Toronto-based modern roots reggae band The Human Rights, who have toured across North America, sharing many of Toronto reggae’s biggest stages with artists such as The Wailers, Sanchez, Freddie McGregor, Beres Hammond and John Holt.

Tréson regularly donates his time as a volunteer to numerous charitable causes and uses his platform as one of the lead singers of the beloved Canadian reggae band The Human Rights to share his message of unity and peace.

Collabs

Tréson has worked with other top engineers and producers in the reggae industry -- such as Sly and Robbie, Shane Brown, Alborosie, and Rolland McDermott -- and performs and records as a solo artist in addition to regular recording and touring worldwide with The Human Rights.

Tréson's vocal and songwriting versatility has created a new collaboration with the extraordinary post-classical composer, cellist and music producer Margaret Maria. The singer/songwriting duo launched their first pop/soul single 'Music Can Change The World' Dec. 2023 which is making its way out into the world by way of other artists covering and remixing it; sharing the message of peace and love around the world.

Their original music video received the Clouzine International Music Award for Best Soul Video (Spring 2024).

The new music that is Margaret Maria and Tréson is as unique as the artists themselves. The classical world is colliding with the genres of funk, soul and pop, with a fresh new sound and a musical playgroud for Margaret Maria's creativity and Tréson's soulful songwriting and vocal talents.
